Making Linen from Flax: Sustainable, Durable & Versatile Fabric

Making linen products starts with harvesting the flax plant. The plant's stalks are soaked in water for several days until the woody parts slough off the fibers and can be removed. After the fibers are retted and dried, they are spun into yarn. This yarn is woven into fabric, which can then be finished to enhance desired fabric features. Every one of these steps is done in-house by Shaoxing Tangsi Textile Co. Ltd. to ensure the linen meets the high standards upheld by shear innovation. We introduce new blends and finishes every month to accommodate the needs of our clientele. We understand the importance of environmentally friendly production; as a result, we are holders of GRS, Oeko-Tex, and European Flax certificates.
